I don't always agree with Ed Schultz, but I think he is right-on in
this clip discussing the Shirley Sherrod fiasco at the White House. Sure, a mean-spirited right-wingnut blogger (and in the blogging world, Andrew Breitbart is well known for twisting the facts and using inuendo to supplant the truth) started this affair that got Shirley Sherrod fired, but I blame President Obama's advisors, who are timid little cavers when it comes to the bullies at FOX News. Anyone who has been the victim of a bully knows that you cannot "make nice" to solve the problem because it is the bully who has the problem. The victim needs strategies and allies to deal with the bully. It's the same with FOX News. They spend their time and resources trying to stir up the malcontents and yes, even the racists, who have never accepted Obama as the president. They have few redeeming qualities, but whoever it is in the White House who thinks the way they have tried to deal with them is working is the one who needs to be fired. You see, there are a lot of people both online and silently watching who would follow Obama's lead and stand up for him if we just had some leadership in this fight against obfuscations, half-truths, and even in some cases, THE BIG LIE.
