Happy Birthday, Mr. President!!! Today (August 4) is President Obama's 49th birthday. All Democrats and Obama supporters are invited to Lefty's at 1202 S. Main St., Blacksburg at 5:30 PM for the monthly social and good food. Show your support for the president by wearing an Obama T-shirt or a Democratic T-shirt and an Obama button or whatever Obama swag you have.
Save room for dessert. Organizing for America (the spin-off group of Organizing for Obama), will host a dessert for the Lefty’s crowd and anyone else whoever wishes to attend. At 7 PM, Laura Kleiner, the local OFA representative, will host a dessert at her house. It’s close to Lefty’s on the south side of town. Come and celebrate with Laura at 1358 Falcon Ridge Rd., Blacksburg, just off Deercroft Dr.
