Thanks to all the Democrats and Independents who voted for Bob McDonnell. Perhaps he is doing what you wanted such as advocating funding cuts for Planned Parenthood because of his ideological stance against abortion. I don't think the governor has been clear about how he is planning to procede on this issue. Since "Planned Parenthood’s funding in Virginia comes primarily through federal reimbursements of Virginia Medicaid patients[,] " according to
The Richmond Times Dispatch, does he wish to cut these reimbursements? What does he mean when he says that he doesn't think state funding should be used for abortions? Is this mere rhetoric for his followers, or if not, does he have plans to mess with the federal funding? Virginia women again seem to be the ones in jeopardy of not being able to make decisions about their own bodies without penalty under Republican administrations. If not all are just fine with his stance on abortion, I would have thought they would have considered his ideology before voting for him, but that' just one person' opinion.
