Check out this article, With Democratic Voters Choosing Deeds, a Few Answers, from the Virginia notebook section of the Washington Post assessing this month's Democratic primary results. It was printed last week, and I missed it then, but I think the info is still an interesting read and may have some impact on this fall's election. It is printed in a Q & A format and attempts to answer the following questions plus several others:

  • Does a candidate have to be from NOVA to win a statewide election?
  • Does a candidate have to have a record in Virginia politics?
  • Do endorsements from local politicial officials matter?
  • Do newspaper endorsements matter?
